Having studied and taught Science for more than half my life, one could safely say I am passionate about the subject! Not just the content but the way of thinking about the world around me has been profoundly useful in all areas of life. I am a huge believer that anybody can do and enjoy Science, but I feel that to really appreciate it we need to take it outside the classroom and into our lives! For what is Science if not a curious exploration of our world around us?
I am especially motivated to get more young people and girls into Science as I believe it can be immensely empowering. The skills of observation, resourcefulness and creativity are critically important in today's modern world where being able to think on your feet is an invaluable quality in work life.
